I just visited the new cafe Rockn’ Joes on the Bay Head/Point Pleasant Beach border. Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner and 10 minute walking distance from The Bay Head House. The owner, Dave Terra Nova, is a native of the area and has established a casual and very cool atmosphere with great music, healthy & fresh menu and great coffee.

Everthing is working and producing; 6 varieties of tomatoes, peppers, pattypan squash, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant, honeydew melons, pole beans, basil, dill, jalepenos, summer squash, canteloupe and more.

A whale washed ashore dead today on Osbourne Avenue Beach in Bay Head thought to be either a Fin or Minke Whale. It had been dead for some time. Biologists were not able to diagnose the cause of death due to severe decomposition.
