The Bay Head House Top Restaurant Picks at the Jersey Shore! Dorcas of Bay Head
Saturday, April 5th, 2008An established Bay Head staple, Dorcas of Bay Head was founded in 1965 by Dorcas Cotsworth and made into the sidewalk/cafe restaurant that it continues to be today. From 1925 until 1965 it was a rooming house called The Clover Cottage. Since its inception, it has been considered a charming place to dine.
Great indoor and open air restaurant for breakfast and lunch and also don’t miss the ice cream parlor. A Bay Head must! Check out Dorcas’ selection by clicking here.

The Bay Head House Top Restaurant Picks at the Jersey Shore! Isohama Japanese Restaurant
Saturday, April 5th, 2008ISOHAMA’S JAPANESE RESTAURANT SUSHI & HIBACHI: 516 Arnold Avenue. Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 732-899-9927
Tuesday – Sunday
Dinner, 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Isohama Japanese Restaurant Recommended by The Bay Head House
Isohama serves some of the best sushi on the Jersey Shore. Sushi chef and owner, Jun, cares deeply about providing only the freshest fish whether it is an exotic sashimi grade shipped in same day from Japan or a locally caught fluke or sea bass caught that day from the boats at the local cooperative fish market. I recommend the Rippetoe Roll, crispy spicy tuna roll, miso soup, green salad, soy beans and red bean ice cream for dessert. They also have the best green tea! View menu.
Directions from The Bay Head House: Drive west on Bridge Ave from house to light–> turn RIGHT at Light on BAY AVE–> Take Bay Ave for about 2 miles until road ends —> Turn RIGHT on ARNOLD AVE go thru 1 traffic light and restaurant is on RIGHT (across from Bank of America). You can park behind bank if no parking. Check out map and reviews.

Shore Fresh Seafood Market is an excellent place to pick up some fresh fish and seafood to throw on the grill at the house or to sit and have a casual lunch or dinner. BYO wine and beer. More of a market than sit down restuarant but moderate prices and good food if you choose to take a seat.
Directions From The Bay Head House: Very simple. Walk across the street and walk WEST (left) on Bridge Avenue. Cross over the light and Shore Fresh Seafood Market will be on your RIGHT (At base of bridge)

The Bay Head House Top Restaurant Picks at the Jersey Shore! Red’s Lobster Pot
Saturday, April 5th, 2008RED’S LOBSTER POT: 57 Inlet Dr. (Ocean Ave.) Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742 Phone: 732-295-6622

Red's Lobster Pot Restaurant Recommended by The Bay Head House
Very cool and cozy seafood restaurant along the Mansquan River in Point Pleasant Beach. Bring beer and wine to this very casual and laid back environment with great food. There is a full sit-down menu indoors or take in the super salty air on the outdoor patio watching the fishing boats go in and out of the inlet with “today’s catch”. One of the local and tourist’s favorites! Excellent view for sunset!
Direction From The Bay Head House head east on Bridge Ave –> LEFT on Main (2nd light)—> bear RIGHT on Ocean Ave (after 7-11) —> take Ocean Ave for 1 mile to end crossing over Broadway—-> Ocean turns into Inlet Drive—-> Inlet horseshoe’s around and Red’s will be on your RIGHT. Map of Directions
