Just 70 miles South of New York City and 65 miles East of Philadelphia, Bay Head offers many unique shops and bed & breakfast inns. Bay Head remains a small, quiet community ~ there are no public changing rooms and food & beverages are not allowed on the beach. However, visitors may rent kayaks, bikes and surfboards right in town.

While the town of Bay Head maintains a non-commercial boardwalk, visitors can take advantage of being only one mile south of Pt. Pleasant, which offers many amusements as well as restaurants and additional shopping. Barnegat Bay, just to the west of Bay Head, offers boating, fishing and water-skiing.
